EU Gender Equality Laws throw away 4,000 years of insurance expertise.

An insurance market that was first established in ancient Chinese and Babylonian times to insure at a cost that reflected the actual risks of each trade has been killed off by the European Union. From the 21st December underwriters will no longer be able to assess risk using gender as a determining factor. This should see ladies paying up to 60% more for their car insurance 'to bring them into line with men'. It's been claimed that men might see a 10% drop in car insurance costs but of course this is just a pipe dream.

Gender will also have to be ignored in accident and life insurance underwriting so despite ladies living longer than men they won't benefit from cheaper life insurance.

The code of Hammurabi is the first recorded insurance policy and was made in 2100 BC...
